Volunteer leaders are absolutely vital to the mission of Young Life. It is their involvement that allows lives to be changed.

Our volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds. They’re moms and dads, university students and working professionals, retirees and other compassionate adults who want God’s best for kids. The diversity of our volunteers helps us make an eternal difference with all kinds of kids in all kinds of places.

When you’re a leader, you’re also joining a community of dynamic staff, volunteers, and committee members. It’s not uncommon for leaders to say that they get more out of being a leader than what they give.

Before Young Life begins outreach and leadership development at a new school, we seek to build a committee of adults who believe in the mission of Young Life and have a common passion for Jesus, for kids, and for a particular community. Sometimes a committee forms around one school, and other times they form around a whole district.

You’ll find adults from all different backgrounds, careers, and churches, including parents who care not just about the spiritual lives of their own children but of their kids’ friends as well. The committee provides a foundation of financial, administrative, moral, and prayer support for the local Young Life team that will develop at the school they care about.

We are looking for adults to get involved all around Hong Kong and welcome your participation as we work to expand Young Life in this incredible city. We need you.

The growing team and increasing reach of Young Life in Hong Kong are supported by the generous donations of individuals, churches, and foundations.

Without donors, we could not reach all the kids that we do. Your donation to the general fund enables us to hire and train staff, provide essential administrative support, and cover program and operating expenses. And your designated donation can help provide scholarships to less privileged kids to one of our summer camps!

We believe that in order to reach kids we must enter their world. Our staff and leaders can be found at schools, cafes, basketball courts — wherever kids are. In many cases, they’ll be the only adult friend these kids have in their lives. Our work could not be done without your support. Help us send caring adults into the lives of kids across Hong Kong.
