We aim at keeping 12 months operational expenditure in our bank account for our “Operational Reserve” and any excess funds in our “Opportunity Reserve” to continue our mission without undue interruption or hardship and to pursue special targets of opportunity as they arise.
The financials in this page are consolidated from our Hong Kong and U.S. funds. The Hong Kong financials are in the process of being audited. Our external audit is conducted by Philip Poon & Partners CPA Limited. Some of the expense accounts in the audit have been collapsed into the above categories for ease of understanding. Our fiscal year follows after Young Life, from October 1 to September 30 of the following year. All currencies are in HKD.

Young Life is nothing if not relationships. Our greatest strength is leaders who have known the extravagant love of Christ and are eager and equipped to overflow this love to the youth of this city. That’s why the bulk of our budget is for our “Staff” costs.
This allows us to support full-time field staff with not only a liveable wage in one of the world’s most expensive cities, but also the ability to maintain their own holistic health and well-being as they do the hard work of reaching kids for Christ with and for the Church.
